The Rapid Relief Team is committed to regulatory compliance and good corporate governance. Our Safe Working Policy enables all activities to be carried out safely, and with all possible measures taken to remove or reduce risks to the health, safety and welfare of team members, the community, and anyone else who may benefit from our operations. Governance reporting is publicly available, including our charity annual report. The systems and financial integrity of RRT are regularly audited by accredited third parties to provide assurance to those we assist.
Safety Management System
To facilitate our Safe Working Policy, RRT has implemented a Work, Health and Safety system that conforms to the requirements of Standard AS/NZ 4801:2001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System. Our risk based approach to safety management, and focus on comprehensive induction and training of our teams ensures the welfare of our volunteers.
Food Management System
The Rapid Relief Team has implemented a Food Safety System based on internationally recognised HACCP principles. Food supervisors have completed nationally accredited Food Safety Supervisor training. Team members and catering crews complete Food Handler Training before participating in operations.
